Re: fields blank on error

Hi, Gianluigi.

After many hours of frustration, I finally discovered something about this.

I had one site using Server Side Validator on a Contact form. I set the fields to a value of REQUEST.FORM("field_name"), and I validated each field. If a field was blank, it displayed the error fine, AND it retained the values typed for the other fields.

HOWEVER... it has been some time since I needed the validator, and have downloaded updates since my original purchase. I created a site tonight that needed the validator. I configured the fields identically to the one stated above. The error messages displayed fine, BUT the values for the typed fields did NOT retain - they were blank.

WHAT I FOUND:
After hours of comparing and testing, I happened to notice on the form that was retaining the values, the version of the Validator was 1.1.9.

The version of the Validator for the form NOT retaining the values was 1.2.2.

I uploaded the DWZ Validator folder from the older site to my new site and the form began retaining the values correctly.

Just thought you would like to know this. It seems something in the 1.2.2 version is clearing the form fields if an error occurs. (The form fields DO retain their values if all fields are complete, but of course, that is not very useful).

There's something different between the versions of 1.1.9 and 1.2.2.
