Umlauts / special characters

Hi, I am having problems with CSV-Export on PC. The export works fine, but umlauts and other special characters don't show the correct encoding. Is there any approach to define this in the export spcript or is it requiered to do things like: saving with/without BOM, set header charset, set charset for database...? Thanks, Jo
