The customer was using Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2.0.0.17 on a PC.
We've now solved the problem but I'll explain it here in case anyone else has the same problem. The customer had their browser set up to block Third party cookies, she changed this to enable and it now works fine (in Internet Explorer click on Tools, Internet Options, Privacy (tab), Advanced and then change the setting for third party cookies).
