PHP Upload and Resize will not delete thumbnails.

Hi all, No matter what I do I cannot get this extension to delete the thumbnails. I have them in the same folder are the resized images with the _small suffix in between the filename and extension. In the delete control panel I simply put _small which results in the is line of code: $upload->SetPrefix("_small@_@@_@/upload");
