I have at last got it working - thanks. I assumed that I MUST enter something in the field "Set value to" before I could add the Dynamic text field - so when I did not know what to enter there, I cancelled the procedure every time.
If you had made it clear to me that it was OK to leave that field blank, I would have understood. Please remember, people like me purchase your extensions because we are not clever at coding, so we do need clear and explicit instructions in how to use your extensions. We could have avoided all this frustration if your very first response had simply said the following:
- For each field on your form, you need to add a dynamic form tool. Select each field, and add the server behaviour: DWZone - Server Side validation - dwx Dynamic TextField (or appropriate for the type of form field)
- In the properties ensure it has the correct form name, and select the correct field name from the dropdown list
- You can leave the "Set value to:" field blank
If you had explained it like that, you would only have had to add ONE response to my question, and it would have saved both of us a lot of time and frustration
I realise your English is not great (it's a lot better than my Italian - which is non-existent [:D][:D]) but you could still try to make your answers more helpful. Your answers tend to be far too brief and abrupt, and this just leads to frustration all round!
I do hope you will not be offended by my comments, but I am trying to offer constructive criticism as to how you could improve your customer service. Your products are excellent, but your support has room for improvement.[;)]
