can't get detail to work

When I try to configure the detail grid of the DataGrid I cannot add a field without first selecting a recordset. However the only entry in the recordset combo box is "none".

Ultimately, what I would like to do is to create a page that looks and works like this one:

Is this possible using the DataGrid extension?

Sorry, but one more question. I modified the skin by going to the theme roller query page. I downloaded the folder, but my new skin is not available from within the extension. I've put the new theme in the "dwzGrid" folder. I've put it in the "dwzGrid/css" folder. I've put it in the "dwzGrid/css/Themes" folder. It still does not show up in the extension. (I'm on a mac, using Lion, if that makes a difference.)
