Uses cyrilic characters and can be used with less than 256 characters. You can find some information here: http://es.scribd.com/doc/36067202/What-are-Double-Byte-Single-Byte-and-Multi-Byte-Encodings Anyway, I strongly suggest that you add UTF-8 compatibility in your extension. It's a big limitation if it can't work with diferent character sets and I will have to search for an alternate sollution meanwhile. Thanks for your replies.
